A lingam, sometimes referred to as linga or Shiva linga, is an abstract or aniconic representation of the Hindu deity Shiva in Shaivism. It is typically the primary murti or cult image in Hindu temples dedicated to Shiva.It is beleived that where there is Shivling Lord Shiva resides there. One can get rid of all ailments by performing daily puja to Shivling. Ill effects of planet Saturn is eliminated by keeping Shivling at home. One shall perform daily puja of Shivling to achieve success in life.
